The entire Gameday Radio team is thrilled to announce the launch of our Kickstarter campaign. We've worked very hard to put this campaign together, and we need our campaign to be successful for a couple of reasons.
First of all, it's about the money. In its first year of existence, we have been completely boot-strapped by me, David Soderna, the Founder and CEO of Gameday Radio. While the expenses haven't been great, we are incurring monthly costs for our office space at 1871, our use of Microsoft communication and collaboration tools, and other office expenses. We've had legal expenses, R&D expenses, and Marketing expenses including the creation of the awesome video on our home page. No one on the team has drawn a salary -- we're building Gameday Radio with sweat equity.
Second, and perhaps more importantly, Kickstarter will be an important referendum on our viability as a company and a product. We've done some surveys that have provided us with some insight into the desirability of our product and the validity of our pricing models, but they've only given us part of the picture. Through the financial support of both friends and strangers on Kickstarter, we'll be able to prove that Gameday Radio has a bright future.
The money we raise on Kickstarter will enable us to not only cover some operational costs, but will primarily be used to rapidly accelerate the development of our product, which we need to be testing in earnest this summer to enable our full product launch in 2016.
So, if it's still March of 2015 when you read this, and you haven't backed us on Kickstarter yet, please click the link below and help us achieve our goal.
Thanks again to everyone who believes in us and in our passion for Gameday Radio.
